Breast is a particularly prominent part of the female physiological characteristics which is the part to show their charm and the source of pride for being a woman.However,it is likely to turn into a center of cancer and the origin of anxiety and shame.Recently,breast cancer is one of the common malignancies tumors for woman,and the number of breast cancer patients are increasing gradually while the age of the patients are more younger.Breast cancer is a type of disease that is associated with the individual,family and society.It has a great influence on the female and the stigma is one of the effects.Stigma is a special relationship between the feature and prejudice.In order to create a good environment for breast cancer patient to recover,it is necessary to explain the construction process and the social significance of stigma.In this paper,the author analyzed the stigma framework of breast cancer patients which was based on the constructivism perspective and used the label theory and social gender theory.The conclusion as followed.Firstly,the stigma of breast cancer patients is self-stigma and public stigma that self-stigma interacts with public stigma,and the self-stigma of the patient is more serious than the public one.Secondly,there is a link between self-construction,social construction and cultural construction that constitute the stigma of the breast cancer patient.Thirdly,the role construction of the patient runs through the whole process of stigma construction.Otherwise,the social worker plays an important role in helping the breast cancer patient to deconstruct the stigma.
