In recent years,the number of persons with mental disabilities and the concern to those persons is increasing gradually.Now there are so many gaps and lack in the research of service,education and recovery to persons with mental disabilities both in China and abroad.From the age,there is a "gap"---these services researches and training recovery only focus on children,but there are a few researches to teenagers.From the content,there is a few researches on the skills of improving emotion management.The skills of improving emotion management has a great influence for teenagers with mental disabilities,especially when they are in the transition from teenagers to adults.The research is based on the teenagers with mental disabilities in H organization of Kunming and takes skills of improving emotion management of teenagers with mental disabilities as research object.Under the guidance of cognitive behavioral therapy and the social learning theory,apply the professional group method to get involved improving emotion management of part of the teenagers in the H organization.The group activity is divided into three stages----the experiences of emotional cognition,application and learning of the methods to emotional expression,conclusions and gains by sharing skills of emotional management.Through these activities and evaluation of effect to evaluate group work,the members of groups improved their emotion management skills than before,and the initiative and team awareness is increasing.Through practical testing,involving group work is workable,and then the completer service plan of group work is formed.At the same time,the reasons of limitations in the activity's effect is analyzed.It can offer some practical references for social work involving in service to persons with mental disabilities.In the end of this research debates the feasibility and limitation of involving group work to the service of persons with mental disabilities and the replicability of the model of involving emotion management group work to the service of persons with mental disabilities.
