The research is based on policy and piratical backgrounds.As the implementation of"two priorities" policy,children living with the migrant workers mainly coming from rural areas have basically received compulsory education.However,how to meet their general high school educational demand is becoming increasingly prominent.The admission of domestic general high school is general high school educational demand's most important object.To meet general high school educational demand of children living with migrant,governments at all levels have issued a series of policy featured as different levels of restrictions.By reviewing the present researches,we find that although children living with migrant workers have strong need to general high school educational demand in the migrant cities,a fairly high proportion of it haven't been met.By contrast,the thesis focuses on concepts,influencing factors and suggestions for improvements of their general high school educational demand.As to the chapters'arrangement,the thesis can be divided into four parts including the introduction,the overall analysis of theory and situation,empirical analysis of current situation and causes,and the conclusion and the reflections on relative educational policies.Based on the survey data,educational demand theory originate from demand theory in economics and the theory of education equity,the thesis finds that:(1)these migrant children's general high school demand in migrant cities is very huge but 50%or so of it hasn't been met and nearly 30%of migrant children have no idea or obey their parents' plan;(2)migrant children and their parents just have significantly lower expectation of the quality of general high school and less willing to "general high school choice";(3)there is a huge demand of state-run general high school;(4)local students' general high school educational demand is significantly stronger than migrant children's;(5)the general high school educational demand is significantly related to individual factors,family social-economic factors,home education,and the school educational quality of upper level,and so on.;(6)to the admission of key or ideal high school,family social-economic factors and home education play the most important role.Given this,the thesis raises a series of recommendations for improvement.
