An Empirical Study On The Entrepreneurial Environment For Higher Vocational College Students In Fujian Province

On March 5,2017,the State Council pointed out in its Report on the Work of the Government that a total of 13.14 million new urban jobs were added and the number of college graduates finding employment or starting businesses reached another record high.With the deepening of reform and opening up,the implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative has facilitated the development of the economy.However,as a developing country with a population of more than 1.3 billion,China is still facing serious employment challenges as the number of college graduates reaches 7.65 million in 2017.Hence,more and more college students are now starting their own businesses,boosting the country’s economy through their wit and hard-work.After a nationwide endeavor of launching businesses and making innovations,new registered enterprises in 2016 increases by 24.5%,with an average of 15,000 new businesses daily.Innovation leads to the rapid development of new energy.But today,college students are also facing many problems,one of which is the crucial choice of entrepreneurial environment.Faced with such a severe employment situation,entrepreneurship has become an essential need to reduce the employment pressure.Under the background of new economic and social development,the entrepreneurial environment that higher vocational college students in Fujian Province are facing,which is also important for the fast,stable,sustained economic development of Fujian Province in the future,has aroused great concern from all walks of life.After reviewing related studies and theories from home and abroad and applying relevant knowledge of management,entrepreneurship and sociology,this thesis probes deeply into the entrepreneurial environment for higher vocational college students in Fujian Province.On the basis of theoretical study and empirical research,the author analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the entrepreneurial environment in 5 higher vocational colleges in Fujian Province from the perspective of the CEM research framework,and thus helps college students distinguish the mainstream and priorities fit for purpose when starting a business.This thesis will hopefully provide a theoretical reference for college students in assessing entrepreneurial opportunities,environment,risks and other factors and at the same time facilitate new thoughts for the government and higher vocational colleges in Fujian to improve and optimize the entrepreneurial environment for students.The main purpose of this study is explained as follows.From the survey of the entrepreneurial environment of the five higher vocational colleges in Fujian Province,it is concluded that higher vocational colleges in Fujian need to strengthen the discipline development and training of entrepreneurship teachers,improve the quality of the teachers and make better talent training plan.The author attempts to explain how to make good use of today’s favorable innovation and entrepreneurship policy so as to provide a better environment,guidance and supportive platform for college students and to eliminate the barriers and difficulties in the process of entrepreneurship.
