Under the current economic and cultural conditions,the dropout of the left behind children in rural areas is one of the key issues of social concern.The dropout rate is high in the compulsory education stage of the left behind children in rural areas,which not only affects the self-development of the left behind children,hinders the progress of our cultural quality education,but also greatly wastes the educational source.To a certain extent,the lack of self-control ability,the error of psychological cognition,and the increase of offside and criminal behavior of the left behind children have increased the social instability,and become a major obstacle in the construction process of the new socialist countryside.At the same time,they also have caused certain threat to the development of the urbanization in our country,so the harm of the left behind children's dropout is not to be ignored.In recent years,with the continuous expansion of the group of left behind children in rural areas,the state has continuously launched a policy which is conducive to the development of education,especially for the development of rural education.Scholars in different fields also put forward different solutions from different angles and specialties,but most of these concerns are at the macro level of policy,and there is no real in-depth analysis on the left behind children's reasons and their individualized characteristics.so it is difficult to solve the problem.With the guidance of altruistic professional values,social work aims to increase people's socialwell-being and find the advantages and potential of the service objects themselves by scientific and professional techniques and methods,and it can link the resources that are used to help the vulnerable groups such as the left behind children,to promote the self-improvement and development of the service objects,and to get the service goal of "helping people self-help" of social work.The dropout behavior of the left behind children is influenced by economic,family,social,cultural,"reading useless" and other factors such as supervision.It is not only derived from its own factors,but also closely related to its living environment.The dropout behavior of left behind children has a significant impact on their own development,family harmony and social stability.Social work,as a professional practice discipline,serves a variety of vulnerable groups.In the field of the left behind children,social work can be introduced to excavate the social support sources of left behind children,such as family,peer group,school and community,and so on.From a multi angle and multi-level intervention on the left behind children's dropout behavior,it can not only examine the scientific nature of social work theory in this field,but also increase the practical service of social work,and achieve the service goal of reducing the dropout rate of left behind children.
