Aim:The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of sodium bicarbonate intake on the fatigue state and recovery abilty after high-intensity interval training of healthy university males.During the high intensity interval aerobic exercise,the increase of H~+concentration decreases the pH value in the blood and muscle,and slows down and interferes with the binding of sarcoplasmic reticulum and calcium ion to release the calcium.HCO3~-is an effective buffer in the body,studies show that exogenous supplementation of sodium bicarbonate can improve the body's alkaline reserve,improve the ability to buffer hydrogen ions of blood or muscle,thus prevents fatigue and improving performance.Based on the above theories,It is speculated that supplementation of sodium bicarbonate can improve fatigue and recovery after HIIT training.Method:Twenty healthy young males participated in this study,and were randomly divided into experiment group(SB group)and placebo group(Pla group),and had 10 people each.All participants were measured the maximum aerobic power(MAP)by the bicycle ergometer test and created a training program based on this intensity,which included a(30s100%MAP+30s70%MAP)*5 times*4 sets training in the first three weeks,and a(40s100%MAP+20s70%MAP)*5times*4 sets training in the last three weeks.This training run three times a week and had a one minute rest between sets.The experiment group participants were supplemented with 200mg/kg BW of sodium bicarbonate and the control group was supplemented with placebo.Tests were given at the first,the last training in week 3 and the final HIIT training to compare influences of the sodium bicarbonate supplement on the fatigue state and recovery ability.of blood lactate and heart rate for healthy young males after HIIT training.Each test recorded the relevant indicators.Excel and IBM SPSS was used to record and analysis all the datas.Results:1)Serum HCO3~-level of SB group was significantly higher than Pla both before and after exercise(P<.05);2)After three weeks and six weeks of intervention,the blood lactic acid peak decreased significantly(P<.05),the lactate clearance rate was significantly improved(P<.05),the rate of lactate removal was significantly increased(P<.05)in week six compare to before intervention;After three weeks and six weeks of intervention,the peak of blood lactic acid was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<.05),the removal rate and lactate clearance rate of lactic acid were significantly higher in the sixth week than the control group(P<.05);3)In the experimental group,the heart rate recovery in the first 3min after training increased significantly after three weeks and six weeks after the intervention(P<.05),after the intervention of 3 weeks,the 1min heart rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than before the intervention(P<.05),after 3 weeks and 6 weeks after intervention,the heart rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than before intervention in the first 3min after training(P<.05);4)Compared with before intervention,the experimental group subjects after 3 weeks after the intervention of the HIIT training serum CK,BU,5-HT,blood ammonia,urine protein concentrations there was no significant change,but after 6 weeks after the intervention of the HIIT training serum CK,BU,5-HT,urine protein concentrations decreased significantly(P<.05),blood ammonia concentration has no significant decline;Compared with the control group,after six weeks of intervention,after HIIT training,serum CK,BU,5-HT and urinary protein concentration were lower than the control group(P<.05);5)Compared with before intervention,the experimental group subjects after 6 weeks after the intervention HIIT training next morning urine protein concentrations decreased significantly(P<.05),compared with the control group,the experimental group subjects after 6weeks after the intervention HIIT training day morning urine protein concentration measurement was significantly lower than control group(P<.05).Conclusion:Exogenous supplementation of sodium bicarbonate can improve the serum bicarbonate concentration,improve the body's alkaline reserve,improve the ability to buffer hydrogen ions of blood,improve the fatigue status of healthy male and recovery ability after high-intensity interval training of healthy young males.
