Exercise-induced Fatigue and over-recovery theory involves millions of athletes and public health in practice, it plays a key role in the historical record of physical training, its importance is self-evident. Exercise-induced Fatigue and over-recovery is actually the two stages of physical training, if there were no fatigue, there would be no recovery, and thus there would be no training effect. However, no recovery of fatigue will only result in the degradation reactions, produced the opposite effects of the training. As we can see, the relationship between them is close, it is difficult to separate, only to isolate any one party to the other party will be one-sided, it will be difficult to get a System understanding of the problem, leading to biased recognition. The aim of this study was to summarize the scholars’ scientific research on the issue in the research progress of our country, and based on this, the author puts forward to understanding and view of the training effect. As the modern training theory foundation, in the sports teaching, scientific research and the training over-recovery theory has been generally recognized and accepted as the basic sports theory and principle of training. But along with the development of modern technology science and the deeping of training theory research, people begin to question the "over-recovery " theory, two popular domestic views are:with Maopeng as a representative of the "physical wave" training theory and with Chen Xiaoping as the representative of the "adaptive" training theory, these two kinds of training theory research and interpret sports training process from different angles, this paper introduces and comprehensively analyze two kinds of theory. The study of this paper can be concluded:1) Exercise fatigue can be classified from four aspects, namely:according to fatigue parts, according to the body as a whole and partial, according to body organs, according to the mode of motion.2) The mechanism of the sports fatigue in general are the following:one for energy depletion theory, secondly metabolite accumulation theory, three for the ion metabolic disorder, four for body expansion inhibition theory, five for endocrine regulation of functional decline theory, the six for mutation theory.3) The current understanding about diagnosis and recovery of exercise fatigue has been relatively full, also there are many simple and feasible methods are used in practice.4) Over-recovery theory is treated as physiological basis to improve the training effect, and become the basis of sports load arrangement.5) This article explains the theoretical core viewpoint on the "physical wave" training theory and the "adaptive" training theory, according to the comparison, we can find that the two different points of view also have different limitations in practice, and at the same time, the lack of practical data support.6) Over-recovery theory has been questioned, but its guiding significance is still very important in training process, especially for the youth.
