At present, students' psychological health development has become an important educational issue in colleges and universities. The vocational college where the author stays has adopted the Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)to measure the psychological status of its freshmen upon their admission. The results show that nearly 60%of the freshmen suffer from all kinds of psychological disorders of which the inferiority complex is the most common and prominent one that manifests as anxiety, paranoia and interpersonal sensitivity. In light of contemporary vocational students' inferiority status and on the basis of the existing research theories, the paper draws upon the successful experience of psychological intervention in the daily teaching of vocational colleges, and employs literature analysis, questionnaire survey, data analysis and case study to devise Vocational Students' Inferiority Complex Measurement Scale and conduct a wide measurement in the author's college. For those found with an inferiority complex in the measurement, the paper carries out targeted psychological intervention, analyzes the results of intervention, and thus gives empirical suggestions on the psychological intervention of vocational students' inferiority complex. The empirical results reveal that the intervention of psychological measurement plays a positive role in finding the causes of the inferiority complex. The accurate grasp of the causes and targeted implementation of psychological intervention can effectively change the existing predicament of psychological intervention for the sake of mitigating students' present inferiority complex and providing empirical evidence for future prevention and resolution.
