Construction And Application Of Counselor Competency Model In YY Vocational And Technical College

The quality of counselors in vocational colleges has a great influence on the moral cultivation,academic achievement and personality cultivation of vocational students.Traditional counselor selection and assessment criteria have become bottlenecks affecting counselor selection,appointment,training and assessment.To solve this problem,it is the key to establish a competency model for counselors who are suitable for higher vocational education.The concept of modern education puts forward a new standard for the level of competence of counselors in vocational colleges.How to better equipped with the selection,training and development,management and assessment counselors,so that people match the post,match the staff,is the focus and difficulty of the construction of college students' work team.Based on the theory of competency and the actual situation of the construction of counselors in YY Vocational and Technical College,this thesis constructs the competency model of counselors in YY Vocational and Technical College.In this study,the information and data were obtained by means of literature data,behavioral event analysis,questionnaire survey and expert group method,and the data were analyzed and the competency model of counselors in YY Vocational and Technical College was constructed.The model divides counselor competencies into four dimensions:professionalism,professional traits,professional skills and professional attitude.This paper then uses the model to analyze the current actual competency of YY Vocational and Technical College.The study not only provides the basis for the selection,training and examination of the counselors in YY Vocational and Technical College,but also has a certain significance to promote the selection and management of counselors in similar vocational colleges.
