In recent years,the flourishing development of the media and the technology centered on digital communication have brought a huge impact on the traditional college textbook publishing industry.The decline in sales of college textbooks in China has become an indisputable fact.The rapid development of mobile Internet technology has spawned many new types of online education platforms such as MOOC and Micro-Course.The reading carriers and learning methods of college students are undergoing tremendous changes.They no longer rely solely on paper textbooks and traditional classrooms,but are more inclined to the convenient digital textbooks and efficient online classrooms,which have brought new challenges to university presses that publish textbooks as their main business.Faced with the current market decline in college textbooks,university publishers have to explore a new path to protect themselves and benefit teachers and students,namely,to build a digital platform for the publication and supply of college textbooks.This is not only an important step in the digital transformation of university presses in the media era,but also an important direction for the development of cross-industry integration.This paper is based on my tutor’s national special fund project “Online Sales of College Textbooks and Digital Publishing Platform Construction”,and selects the Zhengzhou University Press,which has been included in the project library and financed by 4 million yuan from the Ministry of Finance as a model,and persists in analyzing the status quo and finding problems oriented.The first chapter provides a longitudinal overview of the development of college textbooks supply in China,introduces the concept of melted media,and discusses the opportunities and challenges faced by college textbooks publishing industry in the era of melted media,laying the foundation for the construction of the latter’s inquiry platform;The second chapter mainly analyzes the motive,main content and significance of the construction of the digitized platform of Zhengzhou University Press.It also finds out the main problems in the construction of the platform based on the related interview contents.The third chapter focuses on the problems existing in the construction of digitalplatform for the publication and supply of college textbooks,and tries to put forward strategies for perfecting the platform from the aspects of content,users,brands,and talents.
