The geography curriculum standard of ordinary senior high school is the basic requirement and standard for the national unification of basic geography education in senior high school.The teaching implementation,textbook compilation,teaching evaluation and test propositions of geography curriculum should be based on the curriculum standards.Through the comparative analysis of “ordinary high school geography curriculum standard” in 2003 edition and 2017 edition of the course content,this paper study parts of the development and changes of China's curriculum standards of curriculum content in order to help geography teachers to better understand and grasp the changes and demand in 2017 edition of the curriculum standards,implement the geography curriculum teaching effectively and the practical implementation of training the core of the geography literacy.The contents of senior high school geography curriculum standard also called the “content standard”.The content standard of this part is the provisions and requirements of teaching content for compulsory courses and selective compulsory courses and elective courses,it is also an important guide to have teaching in and out of the class and achieve the teaching goal for the geography teachers.This paper focuses on the study of presentation form and geographical knowledge of compulsory courses;content composition,value orientation of selective compulsory courses;the content selection,specific content of elective courses in senior high school curriculum standards.It summarizes the changes of the course content of the geography curriculum standard for senior high school in 2017 and briefly analyzes the reasons for the change.It shows that the presentation form of the content standard changes in steadiness and the language expression is more concise.Its knowledge content strengthens the basic geographic knowledge and highlights the characteristics of the times in the compulsory courses.The content composition focuses on the regional development and meets the needs of further education and employment while the content of value orientation tends to converge the entrance examination and enrich the content structure in selective compulsory courses.The subject selection of elective courses meets the diverse needs and broadens students' geographical perspective.The specific content of elective courses combines theory with practice as well as takes students' future occupation development into consideration.Through the analysis and comparison of the course content in the curriculum standard of high school,this paper advises high school teachers follow the guidance of the curriculum standard and further understand its content from the perspective of using the textbooks.It suggests the implementation of hierarchical teaching,the development of geography curriculum resources and the optimizing of teaching methods from the perspective of classroom teaching organization.And it also proposes that high school teachers should advocate research study trip and emphasize social investigation as well as simulation experiments from the perspective of extracurricular activities.It aims to help teachers to deeply understand the geography curriculum standard and provides reference for geography curriculum teaching.Although this paper makes a comparison about the course content of the geography curriculum standard of ordinary high school in the version of 2003 and 2017,the following aspects should also be further studied.The deep causes of changes in course content need further analysis and the perspective of content selection should be expanded from various points of view as for the comparative study of the previous geography curriculum standard.
