In order to meet the needs of high-speed development of the economy for high-level talents,the country has gradually attached importance to the development of higher education and increased investment in higher education.In recent years,under the implementation of the enrollment expansion policy for graduate students,the proportion of enrollment and enrollment of postgraduate students has been increasing year by year,and China has gradually become one of the largest education countries.However,both the feedback from employers in the society and the investigation of postgraduate studies by relevant education departments such as universities and colleges all reflect the worrying quality of postgraduate education and gradually raise the concern of the education department in improving the quality of graduate students.Scientific research and innovation ability is an important indicator to measure the quality of postgraduate education.The current research on the innovation ability of postgraduate research in China mainly focuses on the analysis of influencing factors and related theoretical research on countermeasures,and on how the various influencing factors are affected and there is a lack of empirical research such as size.According to previous scholars' analysis of the influencing factors of postgraduate research innovation ability,this study selected learning motivation as an independent variable and introduced learning input as an intermediary variable.On the one hand,trying to understand the current state of learning of graduate students through this study,it is more important to study the influence of various dimensions of learning motivation on the ability of research innovation based on the role of learning input as an intermediary variable,and to accurately position itself for future graduate students.How governments and universities can arouse the motivation of graduate students,mobilize their enthusiasm for academic research,and enhance their ability to make scientific research and constructive suggestions.This research is based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs,attribution theory,self-efficacy theory,participation theory,and on the basis of reviewing and defining the study motives,learning input,and research and innovation capabilities at homeand abroad as well as related concepts.Learning related degree and other related theories,put forward the model and hypothesis of the influence of learning motivation on the ability of research innovation.Using the more mature scales prepared by previous scholars to formulate questionnaires,and empirical analysis of the 268 questionnaires collected by graduate students in colleges and universities.The following conclusions are drawn: The motivation of postgraduate learning has a significant positive effect on the ability of scientific research innovation;the motivation of postgraduate learning has a significant positive effect on the investment of learning;the investment of postgraduate learning has a significant positive effect on the ability of scientific research innovation;There is a partial intermediary effect on the relationship between learning motivation and research innovation ability.The innovations that this study intends to achieve are: First,based on the inductive classification of previous scholars' research results,a model for the relationship between graduates' learning motivation,learning input,and research innovation capability is constructed.It also verifies the mediating role of learning input in learning motivation and research innovation ability,further analyzes the influencing factors of postgraduate research innovation ability,and tries to make up for the lack of empirical research on postgraduate study input in the domestic academia.Second,creatively propose strategies for stimulating the motivation of graduate students to further enhance their research and innovation capabilities.The strategy is analyzed from three perspectives: graduate students themselves,universities,and teachers and government.The combination of internal and external strategies enhances the subjective initiative and academic enthusiasm of graduate students,thereby enhancing their scientific research and innovation capabilities.It will provide theoretical guidance for the future graduate students or colleges and universities for graduate students.
