Research On Tourists' Risk Perception In Camping Sites In Hunan Province

With the economic development of China,people's standard of living and consumption ability gradually has been improved,their demand for travel also has increased vigorously,so the traditional tourism mode can't satisfy people's growing spiritual pursuit,as people eager to get close to nature and to relax themselves.Outdoor tourism,featuring in campsite tourism,comes into being,which provides people with the opportunity and sites for natural experience.In the course of its continuous development,the potential risks of camping are highlighted.In this paper,on the basis of referring literature at home and abroad,the campsite risk types have been refined with 32 effective risk perception factors extracted,and the risk perception index system for tourists in campsite has been established too.Therefore,the risk perception index system contains crisis dimension,functional device dimension,and social obstruction dimension.The research findings:(1)using Cox risk measurement model to measure the specific risk factors of the risk perception index system shows that these things including camping season service quality,campsite snake,bad communication connection in camping sites,the camp bee sting rank the first four in the index system.(2)using Dowling risk measurement model to make general measurement for tourists' risk perception dimension shows that tourists have the maximum risk perception on the functional device dimension,and that of minimum on the social obstruction dimension.(3)using the non-parametric test to obtain the differences between the various dimensions and the characteristics of tourists'education and travel behavior.A certain relevance is existed in between the crisis dimension and tourists' gender,occupation,average monthly income,educational background,and the experience for natural disasters.About the relevance,female has a sharper perception on the crisis dimension than male;tourists with higher level education have a greater risk perception;tourists with disaster experience have a less risk perception than those without the experience.Besides,the functional device dimension is relevant to tourists' gender,education level,and access to information,among which tourists with access to information through the network has the highest risk perception on the functional device dimension.As for the social obstruction dimension,it is mainly associated with tourists' age,and their average monthly income,among whom with the age of 40 and more,or with the average monthly income higher than 12,001 yuan have the highest risk perception on negetive views on them for camping.(4)Generally,tourists are much satisfied with campsite tourism,and the crisis dimension and social obstruction dimension may affect the satisfaction value to some extent with negative correlation;In the case of the same satisfaction,tourists' risk perception measurement value on the crisis dimension is higher than that of the social obstruction dimension.
