The natural geography is the foundation and the difficult point of geography in high school.Because of its special subject such as ness and comprehensiveness that many students who have difficulties in learning have come into being.We call them "poor students".If we don't pay attention to and solve students' learning difficulties in time,it will bring some negative effects to the teaching quality of geography teachers,the geography learning of students in the whole senior high school,and the further learning and development in the future.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the causes and transformation strategies of the students with learning difficulty in natural geography.This paper investigated the high school students' study on natural geography by questionnaire survey,teacher interview and case study.Through the comparison of the eugenics and poor students' survey results,I summarized the internal and external factors of the formation of students who have difficulties in learning natural geography.Internal factors include learning interest,learning motivation,learning foundation,learning volition,learning attitude and habit,learning method and learning ability.External factors include teacher influence,subject characteristics,school environment and family environment.On the basis of analyzed and summarized the causes of poor students in learning natural geography,I discussed the strategies for the transformation of students' learning difficulties with specific cases.For the external factors:stimulating learning natural geography interest and strengthening learning motivation;Strengthening the connection of natural geography teaching in order to consolidate the foundation;Organizing field practice and sharpening the will of learning;correcting learning attitude and developing good learning habits;Improving method of natural geography learning;cultivating natural geography learning abilities.In addition,I also put forward some reasonable and feasible suggestions on the external factors such as teachers,schools and parents.The final case study shows that the transformation strategies can effectively transform the poor students in learning natural geography.However,the process of transformation is a long process.To realize the transformation of poor students,teachers should have enough patience and perseverance with the cooperation and perseverance of students in the improvement of external environment.
