Biology is an important natural science,which is linked closely with our daily life and getting more and more attention in school education.The issue of paying attention to memorize biological knowledge and overlooking to cultivate student's thinking and ability in biology teaching has caused wide public concern.The research is based on characteristics of anchored instruction mode that is a teaching procedures on account of learning theory of constructivism,to design teaching cases and apply these cases in teaching practice,and to find the advantages and disadvantages of this instruction mode.In view of this,the researcher provides suggestions to apply anchored instruction mode efficiently in high senior biology teaching.This research mainly studies the origin,primary content and research status of the anchored instruction mode by means of documentary method,then knows the students' learning interests and learning participation in biology learning of second grade in one high school through questionnaire and interview methods.The practices have been formulated according to results of the survey and the relevant teaching cases have been designed combining characteristics of anchored instruction mode.The advantages and shortages of this mode will be knowed by classroom observation method,and some proper advices also will be offered to create efficient classes.The study shows that applying anchored teaching mode in teaching of high school has some advantages: enhancing student's learning interest,exercising student's ability of independent study and cooperation and exchange,benefiting teacher's professional development and the foundation of the new-style relationship of teachers and students at the same time.However,due to some objective reasons,some teaching links fail to attain and classroom order fail to control easily.Given this,some suggestions have been offered: selecting proper content of courses and using the classroom efficiently;creating reasonable teaching situation and arousing student's interests;regarding student's subjectivity and encouraging student to participate in the activities of classrooms positively;applying selectively the links of anchored instruction mode based content ofcourses to create an efficient anchored biology class.
