The Research On Social Work's Participation In The Development Of Poverty-Stricken Rural Community In Western China

At present,Chinese sociologists' research on poverty mainly focuses on the aspects of policies,and the current nationwide trial of the social work' intervention in the rural community construction is an active intervention and positive transformation of the traditional rural communities' natural evolution and it is also a sort of innovation to the traditional governance pattern in rural areas.Based on the firsthand information attained from investigation,this paper takes community development and health education project in Dongzhuang village as research background and takes left-behind children,the left-behind elderly and left-behind women as research objects to analyze and summarize the result of the domestic and foreign research on rural communities' construction in poverty-stricken areas as well as the issues of Dongzhuang village' s community development through the documentary research method and then to determine the goal of research.On the above basis,besides formulating research plan and carried it out,the author summarized the effectiveness of the project,made assessment on the whole process and finally analyzed and summarized the achievements and shortages of rural communities' construction in the poverty-stricken areas intervened by social work.This paper mainly analyzed the background and requirements of the project from the professional perspective of social work.Through field investigation,it is critical to make assessment on the issues in the development of Dongzhuang village such as backward thinking and culture education,lack of healthfulness consciousness,labor force migration and junior management's insufficient vitality.On this basis,it is necessary to design the research plan,formulate the research objectives and materialize the activity process.According to the proposed plan and using the theory and method of social work,it is also crucial to establish a study center in the community and to conduct various social activities including women leadership training,entertainment evening party in communities,parent-child sports meeting,health examination for reproductive women,lectures on health and competition of community health,and summarize the practical results.In terms of practical results,first of all,the participation of women has injected new vitality into Dongzhuang village,and the improvement in all aspects of the left-behind children,the left-behind elderly and left-behind women has laid a foundation for the further development of the community.The whole project has been fully affirmed and highly valued by the villagers.To train women as leadership in the community construction plays a positive role in the transformation of Chinese rural communities' governance pattern and provides a way of thinking for rural women to start their business.
