With vigorous vitality and good development trend,the tourism industry has provided a large employment for students of tourism management.However,the graduates of tourism management have had a low employment rate and a high unemployment rate.Therefore,only by carrying out teaching reforms and constantly seeking for the teaching models which are suited to the modern development of students,can we guarantee the quality of tourism professionals.With the advent of the"Internet +" era,the teaching model and philosophy of MOOC have not only provided new opportunities and directions for teaching reform,but also laid the foundation for optimizing the teaching model of tourism management and improving the quality of talent training.On this background,the current domestic scholars have less research on the application of MOOC in the tourism management profession,and mostly stay in the exploration of the concept of countermeasures,and there are relatively in-depth research results that are still rare.It has important research significance and innovation value to study and discuss the basic theories of MOOC and its application problems in tourism management major,whether from theories or practice.In terms of theoretical analysis,this article is based on a comprehensive review of the research results of MOOC and the theoretical basis of MOOC by scholars at home and abroad,from the aspects of rise and development of MOOC,the conception of MOOC,the elements of MOOC,the characteristics of MOOC and the function and effects of MOOC,theoretically analyzing the model and philosophy of MOOC,and then discussed the applied value of MOOC in tourism management,in order to lay the theoretical foundation for the writing of this article.In terms of empirical analysis,information of three problem aspects of MOOC including the current status of the application of MOOC in tourism management major,the applied intention of MOOC in tourism management students and the applied feedback of MOOC in tourism management students,can be collected in detail by means of web query,questionnaires,and personal interviews,and performed detailed analysis by analysis software such as EXCEL,SPSS22.0,Lisrel8.7,and NVivo11,aiming to study and discuss the problems,influencing factors and requirements of the application of the model of MOOC in tourism management,in order to lay the empirical foundation for the analysis of the corresponding countermeasures.On the aspect of countermeasures,on the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,this article focuses on the application of MOOC in the tourism management from two aspects:the promotion of the teaching model of MOOC and the development of curriculum resources of MOOC.It's believed,only,using the school education platform to popularize the teaching of MOOC,utilizing network media to promote the teaching model of MOOC,cultivating the students' applied willingness and ability of MOOC in tourism management,and carefully producing the MOOC micro video and the MOOC course,can give full play to the value of the teaching model of MOOC in tourism management,and then effectively improve the quality and level of tourism management professionals.
