Language ability is an important measure of composition level.Words are the building materials of language,and also the smallest meaning unit of language,the use of words directly affects the richness and accuracy of composition language,and even affects the expression of composition content.In order to deepen the research content of high school students' composition vocabulary,expand the research methods of high school students' composition vocabulary,systematically understand the features and problems that exist of high school students' composition vocabulary,this article takes 50 copies full score composition of college entrance examinations as the research object,focusing on the characteristics of a large number of vocabulary,quantitative research methods were used to investigate and count the different aspects of full score composition in the total number of words,the number of word species,the word frequency,and the word length of the college entrance examination.At the same time,the comparative method was used to compare and analyze the 50 copies composition texts of normal high school.The statistical results show that the disparity of the total words number between the college entrance examination's full score compositions and the normal high school compositions is not large,but the word species disparity is large;the high frequency words are roughly the same,and the low frequency words have a larger difference and a wider range;the full score composition of college entrance examination have more polysyllabic words,the quoted rates of poetry and famous celebrities are higher;the degree of writing is also significantly higher than the compositions of ordinary high school;nouns and verbs are used at most,but the adjectives are larger float and the number is not dominant.The above research shows that the number of composition words,the refinement degree of words,the breadth of words are the positively correlated with the level of composition,but there is no higher requirement for the depth and complexity of words.In order to accumulate words and improve the level of language expression,it is necessary to adopt multiple methods such as increasing the reading capacity of students,experiencing life more,repeating situation training,expanding the students' mental vocabulary and promoting the development of cogitation.
