The education plan is teacher-oriented.In recent years, the construction of primary and secondary school teachers in China has made remarkable achievements, but the reason of focusing on the development of urban education for a long time makes rural education which is relatively backward in economy and insufficient in school resources develop slowly, and the level of teachers is still not satisfactory. This will certainly affect the overall improvement of education quality, the promotion of education fairness and the construction of a well-off society.Cultivating and bringing up high-quality rural teachers is an objective requirement to further promote the reform and development of basic education in the new era, which has positive practical significance for effectively promoting educational fairness, improving the overall quality of teachers, implementing educational reform and improving the quality of personnel training. In this study,300 primary school teachers from 30 rural schools in m city of Hunan province were selected as research objects, and the current situation and problems of the professional development of rural teachers were analyzed in depth through questionnaires and interviews.Research shows that at present most rural teachers are full of enthusiasm for education and teaching.they are able to master the basic knowledge of subjects skillfully, have strong teaching design ability, and have achieved remarkable results in their professional development. However, there are still some problems, which are mainly manifested in the weak sense of identity with "villages",the need to update educational knowledge and the unbalanced development of capabilities. There are many reasons for these problems.the social status of teachers is not well recognized, the establishment of teachers cannot meet the actual needs, the support of education funds is insufficient, the development environment of schools is not ideal, the effectiveness of education and training is not sufficient, the individual motivation of teachers is insufficient,a certain degree of job burnout, and the willingness to renew knowledge and ideas is not strong, etc.are all important influencing factors. In order to further promote the professional development of rural teachers, the government and society should implement more relevant guarantee mechanisms, schools should improve the corresponding support system, and teachers themselves should continuously enhance their awareness and ability of professionaldevelopment.
