Reading is an important way for people to inherit human culture,carry forward classic wisdom,and cultivate spiritual civilization.In the digital era where the knowledge economy is thriving,digital reading has become an unstoppable trend.It has attracted a large number of readers.The group of teachers who have high level of education,and relatively strong reading needs.Their reading method has gradually shifted from traditional paper reading to new digital reading.Therefore,it is of great importance to study the current status of digital reading behavior of teachers who are responsible for the dissemination of knowledge and educate the next generation.This study is based on the concept of digital reading in the context of new media.The subjects of this study are primary school teachers.The research explores the status of digital reading behaviors and attitudes with questionnaires and interview survey methods.The research data are analyzed by t-test,one-way ANOVA,as well as Chi-square test of independence to analyze.As a result,in the aspect of digital reading attitude,those male,younger age and model schools teachers are more motivated,and teaching section does not play a decisive role in digital reading attitude.In the aspect of digital reading behavior,the rate of digital reading time span,reading digital content,and reading with phones is apparently higher in males than in females.There are significant differences between teachers of different teaching departments in reading content,and teachers in model elementary schools use mobile phones for digital reading.The digital reading behavior of primary school teachers lacks the guidance of the relevant digital reading methods,and the problems such as reading trekking,lack of deep reading in digital reading,and difficulty in satisfying the demand for digital reading content are encountered.The author analyzes above conclusions and proposes suggestions for improving the digital reading status of primary school teachers from the perspectives of teachers themselves,education,and related industries.
