The teaching of the junior high school history course is a process that enables students to acquire the basic knowledge and skills of history, and is also the process by which the teacher gradually grasps the history teaching methods. The research on teachers' teaching methods and students' learning methods is an important part of the cultivation of history disciplines.Reasonable history map teaching is an optimization of the cultivation of history disciplines.Historical events reflected in historical maps can reflect the political, economic, and cultural conditions of human beings in a certain historical period and their changes, and have played a very positive role in the establishment of students' concept of time and space. The historical map is also an important carrier of the history textbooks for junior high schools and an important resource for history teaching. It can not only provide teachers with more teaching resources, but also can effectively cultivate students' history disciplines. In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the questions in the Chongqing middle school entrance exams, and the role of historical maps has become increasingly important.Historical maps are also increasingly researching in teaching. Many scholars have found through research that history maps are not fully used in the history teaching of junior middle schools and emphasize that teachers should increase the frequency of use of historical maps. However,in the internship of the author in the past half year,it was found that in the history class of junior middle school, historical maps were not only not sufficiently used, and the selection and presentation of historical maps were also very simple. In order to find out more accurate questions, the author conducted a questionnaire survey on some junior high school history teachers in Chongqing and some students in three middle schools in Chongqing. After sorting out the analysis results,it was found that many teachers will selectively explain historical maps according to the needs of the exams. The sources of the historical maps used in the study are relatively simple, and teachers rarely review and use the history to consolidate and review;students' ability to recognize historical maps is not enough, and effective information in history is not extracted.Teachers' proper use of teaching strategies and teaching methods is the key to effective student learning.Teachers should broaden their choices of historical maps and choose from textbooks, historical atlases, reference books for teachers, supplementary materials, specialized books, journals, and networks.Computer multimedia teaching can better achieve the teaching goals, and use multimedia to use multi-dimensional maps to enhance students' spatial experience.Historical maps often hide a lot of historical information, mining these hidden historical information in order to trigger students thinking, can be a good exercise for students' historical thinking ability.Comparing and summarizing historical maps can integrate historical knowledge. For students, correct knowledge of graphs is the key to students mastering historical maps.Students' proactive use of historical map aids can improve students' history disciplines.
