Based on the further promotion of the new curriculum reform and the training requirements of the core literacy of history for middle school students,the attention and Research on textbook illustrations in the academic circles have been continuously improved and further deepened.The illustrations in the unified edition of textbooks are newer than other editions,with more epochal contents and richer types.Thus,for history teachers,how to effectively use textbook illustrations is becoming increasingly important.The illustrations of junior high school history textbooks in the unified edition are interesting and intuitive,complete and clear,scientific and educational,and the pictures and historical materials complement each other.The illustrations of junior high school history textbooks include historical figures,historical relics,historical maps,historical charts,comics and historical scenes.This kind of textbook illustration has the function of cultivating the core quality of history discipline,stimulating the interest of learning history,mining tacit knowledge,helping to understand and deepen the memory function and aesthetic education function.However,there are some practical problems in the practical application,such as teachers and students' insufficient attention to textbook illustrations,teachers' lack of systematic learning guidance for students to read pictures,teachers and students' lack of questioning and exploring spirit.From the perspective of teachers,this requires teachers to pay attention to the guiding role of history curriculum standards,seriously study textbook illustrations,dig deep into the hidden knowledge,and give students systematic learning guidance;From the perspective of students,students need to change their ideas,enhance their own attention,understanding and application;From the perspective of textbook compilation,the selection of textbook illustrations should be authentic,and the presentation should be clear and accurate.At the same time,teachers should be able to choose teaching methods suitable for students according to different types of illustrations,so as to better help students grasp and understand the deep meaning of textbook illustrations,and cultivate students' core literacy of history.
