History textbook,as the most basic teaching resources,is the foundation of history education.Research on history textbooks has always been a hot topic in the field of historical education research,and Sino-U.S.relations are now the most complex bilateral relations and play a decisive role in China's diplomatic relations.This paper intends to study the current Sino-U.S.relations in the PEP edition of history textbooks for senior high school.The selection of the edition of PEP history textbooks is due to the fact that PEP is widely used and representative in the current version of textbooks.This paper aims to analyze the content,understand the author's intentions and the curriculum standards reflected in the textbook.At the same time,the writing of textbooks is linked with the changes of historical ideas and the students' cognitive abilities.It analyzes and explores the successes and deficiencies of existing textbooks on the content of "Sino-American relations," and puts forward suggestions for the compilation of textbooks.This article mainly discusses from the following contents.The first partis mainly analysis the Sino-U.S.relations in the test of college entrance examination in recent five-year.The second part analyzes whether the writing of the textbook complies with the requirements of the curriculum standard,and at the same time,interprets the new curriculum standard;The third part analyzes carefully the content of the "Chinese-U.S.relations" in the current version of the 2007 PEP textbook;In the last part,the author puts forward the insufficiency of current textbook compilation and suggestions for the compilation of new textbooks through the study of the content of Sino-U.S.relations in textbooks.
