Since the 21 st century, both Chinese mainland and Taiwan have implemented new curriculum. In terms of high school history curriculum, especially textbook reform has become to the focus. The textbook is the basis of teaching activities, is the main embodiment of historical curriculum goal. This paper based on the mainland “PEP” and Taiwan “Kangxi edition” of the high school history textbook on the comparison of the Sino-Japanese War of content, through a comparative study, finding out the differences between both sides of the Taiwan Straits of compiling teaching materials and learning from each other.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part, expounds the research origin, the purpose and the methods of this study,as well as the current research dynamic.The second part,introduces the history textbook and compare course standards of two sides of the Taiwan Straits.The third part, used “PEP” and “Kangxi edition” as an example, from an auxiliary text system and text system, conducts the research to the textbooks from both sides of the Sino-Japanese War of the content, analysis of the success and insufficiency.The last, based on the two edition of the textbook comparison, suggestions and opinions to modify some of textbooks.
