As the most important characteristic of Primary Mathematical Textbook(PMT)of the new curriculum reform(NCR),Solving Problem(SP)is a concept mirror of new curriculum,and shows the developing trend of international mathematical curriculum which is paying more and more attention to mathematical comprehensive applications.Math word problems(MWPs)are the main content of SP teaching,while different characters and disadvantages exist among different mathematical textbooks of different versions.Mathematical textbook is the key carrier for class teaching,a comparison of Primary MWP sections of different versions counts greatly for the compilation,correction and using of Standards and the corresponding parts in textbooks,and also for the developing and perfecting of the MWP sections.Moreover,it will also help significantly the study on the primary mathematical curriculum theory.Combined with interviews of first-line teachers,this thesis makes a deeply comparison of MWPs between grade three mathematical textbooks published by People's Education Press(PEP)and by Beijing Normal University Press(BNUP),using the content analysis method and the interview method from four aspects,they are symbols kinds,materials choosing,variables relationship and math problems.Results are as below.First,both versions try to be illustrated,better related to real life and diversified for the symbols.The main difference is that PEP prefers to words rather than charts,while BNUP is opposite.Second,the materials are from a number of sources,and the main difference locates in the ratio of urban and rural life situations.Third,direct relationship between the math problem and the suppose occupies the most and then is indirect relationship,the least one is uncertain relationship.However,the three relationships distributed differently for different versions.Fourth,both textbooks value the setting of problem collections,most problems are single and open.The main difference is that the kind of opening differs with the number of questions.According to the concepts of NCR and also the differences between the two textbook versions shown above,we provide several suggestions for teaching.(1)resources can be Integrated and school can be open.(2)The MWPs had better be chosen or designed to fit the actual need of students.For the symbols,the primary mathematical textbooks should be rich and fascinating.Methods can be applied that creating life situations from people images,adding more anthropomorphized animal pictures and also combining statistical charts with tables.For the materials,they should be closely relevant to the daily life of students and interesting,materials that related to math discipline or frequently happened in real life can also be candidates.The ratio of rural situations should be increased to make it almost equal to that of urban situations.The relationship between the math problem and the supposing should be kept that direct relationship is the maximum,while the ratio of other two kinds can be tenderly increased.For math problems,the kinds of opening should be more diverse,the number of questions could be more reasonable and the problem collections could be in different forms.(3)Strengthen the learning of their own professional knowledge and skills...
