With the accelerating process of urbanization,more and more rural people are working in cities,leaving their children in their homes and be taken care of by other relatives,forming a huge group of “left-behind children”.Due to separation from parents for a long time,these children are not well trained in life,learning,or personality shaping.There are problems such as stress in interpersonal relationships,decline in academic performance,psychological distortions,and weakening of parent-child relationships.It has aroused general concern of the country and society.General Secretary Xi has repeatedly mentioned in the government report that it is necessary to improve the service system for left-behind children.People realize that the current problems faced by left-behind children are too many,and they also see the potential energy that these children have hidden in them and see their superior qualities.This article will analyze the approach and strategy of social work involvement with left-behind children based on an advantage perspective.This paper will use Xunshui County Primary School in Hebei Province as the study site,and use non-probability sampling to conduct research on local left-behind children through in-depth interviews and participatory observation methods,and explore their own and external advantages,and try to explore from the perspective of advantages,social work involves the methods and techniques of serving rural left-behind children,thereby providing left-behind children with more scientific and helpful professional services and promoting their healthy growth.The structure of this thesis is: the first chapter is the introduction;the second chapter is the literature review;the third chapter are the research and design;the fourth chapter is the negative effects of left-behind children left home;the fifth chapter is the left-behind children's advantages;the sixth chapter to the eighth chapter are the concept,method and process of social work involved in rural left-behind children's services;the nineth chapter are the research summary and reflection;the tenth chapter is the research innovations and deficiencies.Through research,it has been found that local left-behind children have problems such as estrangement of parent-child relationship,lack of family education,and undisciplined living habits.At the same time,they also have intrinsic advantages such as independence,positiveness,and sense of responsibility.The surrounding environment also provides them with good Support system,social workers can help them to explore their own potential through the intervention of the service under the guidance of an advantageous perspective,promote the awareness of their own advantages,and stimulate their resilience,so as to help self-help,while contacting external resources help them construct an external support system.Research reflection: Due to research time and funding constraints,the author failed to follow up in a timely and effective manner,and the lack of intervention in sustainability.This is also the author's future research direction,that is,how to establish a continuous and effective social work intervention model to enable better service for left-behind children.
