Science and humanity gradually moved to integration from fragmentation.The development of science and technology cannot be separated from the accumulation of humanistic quality,and the promotion of humanistic quality is dependent on the support of science and technology.In recent years,the rise of HPS(History,Philosophy and Sociology of Science)education has become a hot topic in the field of science education,a bridge between the humanities and science education.At the same time,scientific education activities are the main force of the reform of quality education.Therefore,a case study of science and education based on the concept of HPS education has been carried out in this paper.The HPS education is put into science education activities.Let the students no longer touch to mechanical learning history and philosophy of science,no longer limited to a fixed mode of scientific experiments,but imperceptibly permeated the history,philosophy and sociology of science in the activities.This article is divided into five chapters.Firstly,Based on the background of HPS education,and the development of the HPS research and the science education activity,I proposed the necessity of integrating HPS education concept into science and education activities.According to the research present situation and trend in the world,the paper summarized the HPS education idea development and practical application.We put forward the research objectives and significance of HPS education concept and science and education activities.Secondly,it analyzed the theoretical basis of science and education activities based on the concept of HPS education,the concept of HPS from the perspective of the history,philosophy and sociology of science,and the basic theoretical support from Constructivism Theory,Humanistic Theory and Dewey.Thirdly,the paper explored the ways to integrate HPS education into science and education activities.And I analyzed the Monk and Mr Osborne's HPS teaching model and itsupdated version--"Hands on" HPS teaching model.Finally I chose the two kinds of HPS teaching model combined with science and education activities.Fourthly,in this paper,the case design of "Dispersion of Light" is carried out based on the HPS teaching mode of Monk and Osborne;Based on updated version of "Hands on" HPS teaching mode,I designed a case of “the Construction of Structure” in the general technical class.I had designed the activity process of two typical cases,analyzed each step of the activities.Finally,through the implementation of specific cases,the paper summarized the significance of HPS education concept into the science and education activities.In the case design of "the Dispersion of Light",students restored the process of the dispersion experiment by studying the history of science,mastered the dispersion principle and learned the spirit of scientific inquiry of scientists.In the design of the Construction of Structure,the editor with the model of "Hand on" is carried out on the High School Attached to Shandong Normal University.I asked students to make innovative designs under the existing knowledge,rather than simply restore history.At last,I made a presentation of the students' designs and achieved good teaching results.
