Ye Shengtao,an educator,put forward the teaching idea of "the whole book reading" in the last century,but because of the limitation various factors in the implementation of teaching,the whole book reading teaching has become an unattainable vision.With the deepening of curriculum reform,educators begin to realize that reading plays a positive role in promoting students' Chinese ability and improving core accomplishment in subjects.Therefore,the whole book reading teaching has attracted much attention,and more and more Chinese teachers carry out the whole book reading teaching activities in teaching.The Ordinary High School Chinese Curriculum Standard,that promulgated by the Ministry of Education in 2017,explicitly proposes "reading and discussing the whole book" as one of the tasks of the Chinese curriculum and request the teaching goal and the teaching content.It emphasizes the importance of reading the whole book once again,and improves the position of the whole book reading teaching in Chinese teaching in senior high school.It has gradually become the focus of Chinese education,but there are some problems in the process of teaching and the full implementation of the whole book reading teaching is still facing many challenges.In view of this,this paper will take the whole book reading teaching of high school students as the research object,and design four parts of the content:The first part is the introduction,mainly discusses the origin of the research on the whole book reading teaching in senior high school students,and discusses the research status and the research value and significance at present.The second part is the theoretical basis of the whole paper.This chapter analyzes the similarities and differences between the whole book reading teaching and single reading teaching,group reading teaching,and discusses the teaching principles that should be adhered to in the whole book reading teaching.The feasibility of the whole book reading teaching in the high school teaching is summarized by analyzing the development course of the whole book reading teaching,the physical and mental characteristics of the senior high school students and many successful teaching practices.Finally,it analyzes the effectiveness of the whole book reading teaching under the core accomplishment of Chinese subject,including promoting language development,developing reading ability,expanding reading vision,improving aesthetic level,promoting and deepening thinking,and inheriting excellent culture.The third part investigates the present situation of the whole book reading teaching in the school that includes Kaifeng twenty-fifth middle school and Xiuwu NO.1 Middle School,which taking teachers and students as the objects of investigation.This paper finds out the existing problems in teaching by questionnaire survey,and analyzes and summarizes the causes of these problems.On the basis of problem analysis,the fourth part puts forward the strategies to improve the teaching strategies,including four aspects: to create a good reading environment for the whole book,to establish a correct reading idea of the whole book,and to improve the reading literacy of teachers,strengthen reading guidance,to develop the self-discipline of the students and exercise the willpower of reading.At the same time,this chapter also puts forward some targeted suggestions on the construction of the whole book reading teaching curriculum:to make a scientific and reasonable reading bibliography,to design a specific and definite course plan,and to perfect the scientific and pluralistic evaluation mechanism.In the end,I record the process of reading teaching in the whole book of A Dream Red Mansions.In a word,this paper will start from the whole book reading teaching of high school students,through the analysis of the current situation of the teaching of reading of the whole book for senior high school students,and analyze the causes of the existing problems,and try to give some practical suggestions.I hope to contribute to the development and progress of the whole book reading teaching.
