The newly promulgated Outline of the National Medium-and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020)clearly stated that education should focus on cultivating innovative talents and focus on cultivating students' innovative capabilities. At the end of 2016,the Ministry of Education and11 other departments issued the “Opinions on Promoting Research Trips for Primary and Secondary School Students”,proposing that “all primary and secondary schools should incorporate local realities, incorporate study tours into school education and teaching programs, and conduct comprehensive consideration of comprehensive practical activity programs to promote research."The organic integration of travel and school curriculum" requires building a research base to develop research travel courses and routes. The student study tour of our country was put on the agenda. As a new teaching method, the study tour provides a channel for students to cultivate students' innovative abilities. It is the basis for systematic and all-round development of students' creative abilities. The new curriculum reform advocates the improvement of students' geographical practice by carrying out various types of geographical practice activities such as research trips. The study tour under the perspective of geographic core literacy helps to cultivate students' correct concept of human and earth and enhances students' regional cognitive level and comprehensive thinking ability.Academic study travel is a living, concrete and life-oriented geography education classroom. The important path and effective carrier for the cultivation of geographic core qualities, including geographic practice. This article uses literature research method, questionnaire survey method, statistical analysis method and other methods to explore the issues related to study travel. In the first chapter, the research background, research significance, research methods and ideas of research travel are discussed.Secondly,in the second chapter,we define the concept of “study trip” and “geographical practical force” of the research subject of this article, and determine the theoretical basis of this research;on this basis, summarize the research status at home and abroad.Thirdly, the third chapter discusses the investigation of the status of the implementation of the study tour in junior middle school geography teaching, and uses SPSS,EXCEL and other data processing tools to analyze and count the results of the questionnaire survey and draw relevant conclusions. In the fourth chapter, according to the problems reflected in the questionnaire survey,we put forward measures to promote the implementation of research travel in junior middle school geography teaching.Based on the research basis and the proposed training strategy,in the fifth chapter,we design a feasible study travel design based on the actual situation in Zhengzhou area. Finally, the sixth chapter summarizes the main conclusions, innovations, inadequacies and prospects of this article. This paper focuses on surveys of 200 students from Zhengzhou,Kaifeng, and four secondary schools, and analyzes the results of the survey. The survey found that the participation rate of middle school students in the study tour is relatively low,but there is a strong interest in study tours. The students' demand for research programs is more diverse. In addition,an online questionnaire survey of 210 first-line middle school geography teachers from across the country found that most teachers have a better understanding of study tours, but the frequency with which schools conduct study tours is generally low;academic qualifications and teaching age are high.Shorter teachers are more likely to accept study tours;objective conditions create greater resistance, and research travel is difficult to promote.According to the actual situation in Zhengzhou area and the results of the questionnaire survey, the measures proposed in this paper are: 1 to change the educational concept,to promote the implementation of the study travel policy;2 to combine the characteristics of the discipline, improve the curriculum system;3 to improve the objective conditions, build research platforms. On the basis of this, combined with the unique geographical landscape of the lower reaches of the Yellow River, the "above the ground," the design of the study travel course activity will be carried out. From the background knowledge introduction, study preparation and implementation process and other aspects of reasonable design,to provide reference for the school to carry out study tours. The innovation of this article lies in the innovation of research perspective. On the basis of existing research, the study travel and junior high school geography curriculum, especially the Compulsory Education Geography Curriculum Standard(2011 edition),is combined to explore more suitable for junior high school students in China for the study travel curriculum, and to train students for geography teachers. The academic travel activities provided by the geographical practice force provide theoretical guidance.
