Imaginal Thinking is a creative thinking activity.It's process is always accompanied by imagery and the movement of imagery,which is inseparable to association and imagination.The more complete the imagery is,the richer and deeper the content of association and imagination are.The all-round development of quality-oriented education requires the cultivation of students' innovative spirit,and developing students' Imaginal Thinking is an important source of motivation to improve their spirit of innovation.As a unique subject,Chinese has irreplaceable advantages in the development of students' Imaginal Thinking and provides a large amount of training materials.As a highly condensed literary style,poetry features strong imagery.Therefore,association and imagination have become the common ways of poetry appreciation and Imaginal Thinking.And poetry teaching has became the best soil for developing students' Imaginal Thinking.Based on such background,the thesis takes the poetry reading in Chinese teaching in junior high school as a platform.And through summarizing the actual teaching situations,this thesis adopts documentary study,case study,questionnaire survey as research methods,focusing on how to foster junior middle school students' Imaginal Thinking in Chinese poetry teaching.In the main body of the thesis,the author first conceptualized the relevant notions about Imaginal Thinking and poetry teaching in junior middle school,and summarized and analyzed the overall profile of psychological development of junior middle school students and their specific characteristics of psychological cognitive development.In addition,Multiple Intelligence Theory,Constructivism and Left-right brain division of labor,and other relevant theories about junior middle school language curriculum standards are elaborated respectively,which provided a solid theoretical basis and foundation for the following discussion.Then,based on the existing related theoretical research,the author analyzed the coherence point between Imaginal Thinking and poetry teaching in junior middle school,finding the advantaged conditions for cultivating Imaginal Thinking in the process of the poetry teaching in junior middle school,and exploring the significance of cultivatingImaginal Thinking for poetry teaching in junior middle school.What's more,the author conducted questionnaire surveys on some Chinese teachers in junior middle school and some junior middle school students in order to learn about the current situation of cultivation of Imaginal Thinking in poetry teaching in junior middle school.Overall analysis on the results of the data were made to reveal the existing problems in cultivation of Imaginal Thinking in Chinese poetry teaching in junior middle school.Finally,according to the analysis of the results of the survey,targeted and rational principles and strategies for the cultivation of Imaginal Thinking were proposed,supplementing with specific teaching examples.In the process of poetry teaching in junior middle school,the cultivation of Imaginal Thinking can not only help students perceive the language beauty,mood beauty,emotional beauty,and musical beauty of poetry and improve the efficiency of poetry teaching,but also can enhance students' imagination and creativity.Studies have shown that only by emphasizing on cultivating students' Imaginal Thinking in teaching,can students promote their all-round development and achieve innovative classroom teaching.
