Basic Knowledge for National Tour Guide is not only a compulsory course for students who are in the major of the tourism management in secondary vocational schools,but also one of the compulsory subjects for National Qualification Examination of Tour Guide.Since its content involves history,religion,architecture,ethnic minorities,customs,food,specialty and other aspects of the product,the learning points are complex and trivial.As a result,it is very difficult for many students in secondary vocational school to learn and remember these knowledge points solidly,systematically and effectively.How to effectively complete teaching tasks in limited teaching time and improve the learning efficiency of secondary vocational students is a problem facing teachers in secondary vocational schools.In the process of reading books related to education and teaching,the author discovered that mind map is a tool that helps humans improve their thinking skills.As a result,the idea of using mind maps in the instructional design of Basic Knowledge for National Tour Guide occurred to me.The methods used in this article include:literature,interviews,questionnaire method and case analysis.The framework of this study:First of all,to read the collection of books and literature on mind mapping at home and abroad,as well as information related to instructional design,and to clarify the background,significance,and content of the research.Then the author took the theory of brain science,schema theory,and information processing theory as the theoretical foundation of the study and analyzed the relationship between mind mapping and instructional design.And through practical research,the feasibility of the application of mind maps to Basic Knowledge for National Tour Guide has been summarized.Finally,the author used the mind map to carry out teaching design and case analysis,which proved the superiority of the mind map.In view of the broadness,timeliness,spatiality,and cultural characteristics of the Basic Knowledge for National Tour Guide,the author selected China's history overview with temporal characteristics and Northern China's ethnic minorities with spatial characteristics.The curriculum of the section was analyzed and compared with the case to reflect on the advantages of the instructional design after referring to the mind mapping and provide an efficient teaching design method for front-line teaching teachers.
