The president Xi Jinping pointed out: "Participating in social practice helps to guide young people to better realize the unity of knowing and doing things and to apply what they have learned to add to their knowledge and make up for their shortcomings,by which way they can become the ridgepole of the state." Social practice is a key point for young students' ideological and political education.With the extensive and in-depth social practice in colleges,how to systematically and scientifically evaluate the effectiveness of practical education has become an important subject for scholars.Throughout the domestic discussion,most scholars conduct studies on the necessity of social practice and practice mode.However,studies on the evaluation mechanism for practical education are relatively scarce,which are still in the exploratory stage.At present,with the help of the wave of educational evaluation model development in western countries,to establish a scientific and efficient model of educational effectiveness evaluation can open up a new behavioral paradigm for the evaluation of the practical education in our country.By adopting the CIPP model which is suitable for the development of practical education in our country,this paper builds an evaluation system of the effectiveness of social practice based on four first-level indicators including basic ability of educating environment,ability of education resource allocation,action competence of educating process and performance capability of educating results,11 second-level indicators and the corresponding observation points.Using the social practice carried out by H university and its actual effect of practical education as evaluation samples,this paper adopts the methods of literature analysis,empirical analysis and comprehensive analysis to make a study of the evaluation of the results of the practical education in H university and summarize the success and failure in the process of practice activities.And the analysis results prove that the indicator system and evaluation model are effective.And it extracts the typical and effective evaluation results of the sample university and universities under the application of CIPP model to make it reproducible and extendable,aiming at providing a general enlightenment for the development of ideological and political work in colleges in our country,so as to promote the vigorous development of social practice of college students,enhance the effectiveness of education and achieve the goal of higher education more effectively.
