This dissertation takes the Romanian EuroEd Private Primary School as the research object,and mainly uses questionnaires,classroom observation records and other research methods to comprehensively analyze the status of Chinese teaching in EuroEd elementary school and explore the existing problems,so as to provide suggestions for the sustainable development of Chinese teaching in the primary school.This dissertation is divided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction,pointing out the significance and methods of this study,summarizing related research at home and abroad,and clarifying the theoretical basis of writing;The second chapter includes introduction to three teaching departments of EuroEd educational institutions:kindergarten,primary school and training center,highlights the characteristics of the institution's foreign language teaching in terms of courses,examinations and activities,and outlines the development of Chinese teaching in the institution.The third chapter comprehensively analyzes the status quo of Chinese teaching in EuroEd primary school from four aspects:curriculum setting,classroom teaching,teacher's work and Chinese activities.The fourth chapter is the investigation and analysis of the needs of Chinese learners at EuroEd elementary school.The target needs survey includes the level of Chinese the learner expects to reach and the skills and language elements that they most want to master.The learning needs survey includes the learner's motivation and the specific requirements for Chinese characters learning,teachers,teaching materials,curriculum settings,classroom activities,homework assignments,Chinese activities,and teaching media etc.The fifth chapter combines current situation analysis with a questionnaire survey of learners to conclude that the problems in the EuroEd primary school Chinese language teaching are mainly:in terms of curriculum setting,single class type and less class time;in terms of teachers,the small number,large mobility and lack of teachers' evaluation;in terms of teaching,teaching materials and teaching resources are lacked,Chinese characters are not taught,and teaching facilities are incomplete;in terms of learners,there is a large gap between the Chinese language levels,and the classroom management is hard;in terms of Chinese activities,contents and forms lack new ideas.This chapter aims at the above problems and suggests that schools should increase Chinese electives,increase the number of Chinese teachers,strengthen teaching assessment,and improve hardware facilities;Teachers are advised to improve their overall quality,formulate teaching plans,and do a good job in handover;textbooks are recommended according to the characteristics of different grades;Teachers are advised to standardize Chinese characters teaching,enrich classroom activities,improve classroom management,and arrange appropriate assignments,and set up training classes for leveled examinations;it is recomended that cooperation and innovation be strengthened in Chinese language activities.In the sixth chapter,based on ascertaining the overall teaching objectives and teaching materials,we follow the theoretical framework for the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and combine analysis results with demand survey data,select the YCT Standard Tutorial 2,Lesson 6 How much is one baozi?as an example of instructional design,with a view to providing a template for the Chinese compulsory course combined with YCT.Finally,for conclusion,summarize the research value of this dissertation and point out the deficiencies.
