Research On Current Politics Teaching In Senior Middle Schools From The Perspective Of Key Competencies

With the continuous improvement of new curriculum reform,educators has paid more attention to the significance of the key competency,which is a more advanced educational concept in the field of high school pedagogy.Guided by this concept,political education of current events in high school not only becomes an important subject for high school ideological and political education researches,but also provides dispensable guides to set goals of high school current events politics teaching.From the perspective of the key competencies,teaching present-day political events in high school can effectively educate students about Marxist theory,propagandize policies of the party and the country,widen students' global horizons and train students to analyze global political current events by utilizing critical thinking ability.On the other hand,high school political education of current news contributes to students' sustainable and comprehensive development,whereby they are able to prepare for and meet the needs of the society in the future.However,there is a lack of researches in the domain of high school political education of current events on the basis of the key competencies.To fill this research gap,this research explores three important approaches for political education of current events in high school contexts-the development of high school curriculum resources of political and ideological education of current events with the goal of key competencies;the establishment of the“1+2+3”model which aims to reinforce students' key competencies such as political identity,legal consciousness,scientific spirits and public participation;the perfection of the evaluation mechanism of high school political education of current events which is combined with the development of the key competencies.
