Since entering the information age,information has been involved in every aspect of people’s life and learning,from the communication and cooperation between countries to the people’s life.As one of the important indicators to measure the talent,information literacy is also gradually paid attention to.In the information age,information literacy can improve the comprehensive national quality of a country.information literacy evaluation has become a subject of close concern to all countries.The development of information literacy evaluation is more mature in the United States.After many years of exploration and development,the United States has made rich experience and research results.On the basis of extensive reading of information,collating literature and analyzing and summarizing,this paper makes a systematic and in-depth study and Analysis on the evaluation of information literacy in the United States,mainly doing the following work:the definition and elements of information literacy in foreign and domestic areas are analyzed respectively,the evaluation standards of information literacy in the United States and China are compared and analyzed,the typical information literacy evaluation projects in the United States and China are introduced,the typical projects of information literacy evaluation in America are compared.The starting background,the evaluation dimension,the evaluation method,the evaluation type,the evaluation process and the implementation effect are systematically compared.Finally,the enlightenment of the development process of the American information literacy evaluation is drawn and the research is summarized and prospected.The structure of this article is as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the background and significance of the research,as well as the contents and methods of the research;The second chapter mainly introduces the concept and connotation of information literacy,and the process of development and evolution in the United States and China;The third chapter introduces and compares the development of information literacy evaluation standards in the United States and China,and the similarities and differences between the two;The fourth chapter compares and analyzes the typical items of information literacy evaluation in the United States and China,and compares and studies the production,organization,starting background,evaluation dimension,evaluation mode,evaluation type and evaluation process of the evaluation project;The fifth chapter puts forward some suggestions and strategies,aiming at promoting the improvement and improvement of information literacy evaluation in China.The sixth chapter summarizes the research and puts forward the research prospect for the shortcomings.
