History is a humanities and social sciences.It is closely related to a nation's politics,economy,culture,diplomacy and so on.Not only does it have the mission of passing on human civilization,but it is also highly educational.The history course,which is one of the basic courses,is be of great importance for students' long-term development.However,due to the single teaching form and the boring knowledge in junior high,students have less interest in history and do not have a strong desire for history knowledge.Therefore,the paper has the opinion that club activities should play a very important role in history teaching to activate students,desire to learn and help to improve their history key competence so as to lay the foundation for their lifelong development.The paper aims to explore how history club activities activate students' desire to learn history.To definite the student club and the desire to learn are the main content.It discusses how history club activities activate students' desire to learn according to the three aspects,the content,the form and the ability.It analyses the strategies and the effects of practice through the questionnaire survey of the students,and the interview of the school leaders and teachers.Finally,it gives conclusion and evaluation for the effects of practice.
