The teacher is the crucial factor that decides education quality.The construction of primary and secondary school teachers has always been the focus of social attention.The teaching quality of teachers not only depends on their teaching skills,knowledge level and professional ethics,but also the influence of teachers' professional attitude and emotion.However,the society pays much attention to the professional knowledge skills and ethics of elementary and secondary school teachers,but neglects the cultivation of their professional feelings and attitudes.Teacher professional identity is the intrinsic motivation of teacher professional development.It is of great significance to study the professional identity of primary and secondary school teachers to improve the professional quality of teachers and promote the development of education in China.The study takes their professional identity as the starting point.By the empirical investigation of primary and secondary teachers from 26 cities in Zhejiang,Fujian,Henan,Hubei,Hunan,Guizhou province,the author analyzes the current situation and main influence factors of the teachers' professional identity empirically,and puts forward targeted policy suggestions to improve primary and secondary school teachers'professional identity.The research is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,this part puts forward the research questions,research purposes and significances,defines the core concepts,and sort out related research literature on primary and secondary school teachers' career identity;The second part is the research design,including the introduction of the research method and the research sample,the further elaboration of sample;The third part explores its present situation,and on this basis,analyzing the differences of teachers' professional identity between different regions,schools,genders,professional titles,education backgrounds,etc.The fourth part makes use of the multiple regression method to analyze the influencing factors of the teacher professional identity.The fifth part includes the research conclusions and the suggestions.The results show that the elementary and middle school teachers' career identity overall level is slightly high,but there are differences in different categories of teachers'professional identity.Regional,urban and rural schools,study period,work environment satisfaction,gender,teacher native place,administration positions,curriculum,income and so on are important factors that influence teachers' professional identity.In this study,it is believed that teachers' social and economic status should be improved to enhance their professional attractiveness;Highlight the characteristics of normal education and cultivate normal students who meet the needs of primary and secondary schools;Establish a perfect teacher management mechanism to stabilize the teachers;Make professional development plans for teachers and improve the space for teachers'development.
