The contemporary educational undertaking is developing in an all-round way.At the same time of implementing basic education,the importance and urgency of paying more attention to quality education and improving students' literacy are gradually manifested.How to implement and promote scientific literacy in education has become a hot and difficult issue for contemporary educators.In the late twentieth century,China introduced the western HPS teaching mode,this model can promote students' understanding of the nature of science and improve their scientific literacy.The situation teaching is rich in the situation material and the vivid situation creates the student and the teacher's love deeply.Integrate the HPS teaching model and situation teaching organically,taking the HPS teaching model as the main body,making appropriate modifications,retaining the original teaching line and integrating it into situation teaching,constructing a teaching model based on HPS teaching model and situation teaching integration,and giving a strategic guidance for integration into high school chemistry teaching.Using the integrated model of chemical theoretical knowledge,factual knowledge,skills and knowledge of systematic teaching design.In the teaching design based on the practice of research,choose Henan Normal University Affiliated High School two classes for teaching comparison,the experimental class conducted the teaching of the integrated model,and the control class conducted the normal teaching.Taking "whether the students' understanding of the nature of science improves or not" as the basis for examining the effect of the integration of HPS teaching mode and situation teaching in high school chemistry practice,the final questionnaire,interview survey and academic performance analysis,including "three dimensions of the scope of science of nature" and "Students' interest in setting the teaching stage in the integrated mode" two aspects.Studies have shown that this model has a significant role in promoting students' understanding of the nature of science.It can enhance the students' scientific inquiry ability and stimulate the students' interest in learning.At the same time,it has a certain role in promoting students' knowledge building.It can be seen that the integrated model of HPS teaching model and situation teaching has achieved initial success in the chemistry teaching of senior middle school.It can effectively promote students' understanding of the nature of science and is an effective way to improve scientific quality.
