The Research On Factors Influencing The Quality Of Academic Master's Dissertations Of Local Agricultural Universities

“Improving quality” is the urgent task of postgraduate education.The quality of dissertations is a direct measure of the quality of postgraduate education.It is influenced by many factors.Analyzing the factors affecting the quality of dissertations is an important step to improve their quality.This paper,based on the theory of multi factor interaction and comprehensive quality management,determines the influencing factors by combing and summarizing the previous literature.The author investigated 2015,2016 and 2017's 415 academic master graduates of the J Agricultural University,collected and analysed relevant data by SPSS19.0.Through the analysis we draw the following conclusions:First,there are significant gender differences and disciplinary differences in the quality of academic dissertations in local agricultural universities.Second,master graduate academic degree thesis quality there is no significant difference in three years but with the rising trend.Third,generally speaking,there are significant differences in the quality of dissertations between academic masters with a part-time job and without a part-time job.Specifically speaking,there are significant differences in the quality of dissertations between academic masters with a part-time job and without a part-time job in Agricultural Sciences and Polytechnic.There are no significant differences in the quality of dissertations between academic masters with a part-time job and without a part-time job in Social Sciences.Fourth,there are 6 factors which are students quality,research conditions,tutor's guidance,master's attitude and basic skills,quality of thesis topic all positive correlation with the quality of the thesis.Fifth,the quality of students,master's attitude and quality of thesis topic have a significant positive impact on the quality of dissertations.But research condition,mentor guidance and master's scientific research skills are no significant positive impact on the quality of dissertations.Finally,3 factors which are quality of students,postgraduate study attitude,quality of thesis topic could predicting 31.9% of the quality of degree thesis.According to the degree of influence on the quality of dissertations,the 3 factors are ranked as follows: quality of topic selection,research attitude and quality of students.According to the research results and combining with the comprehensive quality management theory,put forward the following suggestions: First,schools do a good job of recruiting students to improve the quality of their students.Second,the relevant members actively participate in management to ensure the quality of the master's thesis topics.Third,providing comprehensive support for master's students and improve scientific research environment.Finally,we can manage continuously and dynamically to correct the attitude of graduate students.
