Chinese competences are referred to the students'stable comprehensive reflection about language application,thinking training,interesting development and cultural heritance which developed gradually through the language application in and out of the Chinese classes.It aims to promote the cultivation of students' healthy personality and lifelong sustainable development.The key element of Chinese competences should be the essential part of which there is a nature prescriptive,namely the language application ability.As the one of pioneers of modern Chinese language education,Ye Shengtao has his own original opinions about many issues such as what development should be achieved through language learning and so on.At the 30th anniversary of Ye Shengtao's death,the research is done to make us bear in mind his great contribution to language education.Through exploring the characteristic connotation of Ye Shengtao's views of Chinese competences and grasping its key elements,the author provides some valuable information for the current Chinese language education reform.Firstly,Ye Shengtao's points of view on Chinese competences are explored,whose basic compositions are summarized.Then,the profound connotation of Ye's views of Chinese competences and its key elements are interpreted:the promotion of students' lifelong sustainable development should be as the foothold and the highest purpose for developing students' Chinese competences which consist of four main aspects:language application,thinking training,interesting development and cultural heritance.The important elements should be emphasized after overviewing the overall situation focusing on the most crucial elements for improving students' Chinese competences.The key points of Chinese language are extracted according to academic basis and the prominent research findings about Key Competences around the world.Chinese teaching is one of the significant training platforms to promote students' self-lifelong development and creation.In the process of language learning,listening,speaking,reading and writing four language learning activities are the main forms.Absorption and expression of language which indicates the coexistence with speech form and speech content are interacted with each other in students' language practices with thinking deeply as the core working.Students' competences of thinking,cultural heritage,habits and so on are trained.The key elements should be the starting point to attain the Chinese competences effectively.From the explicit perspective,the key elements are referred to creative and fresh language application power consisting of absorption and expression.From the implicit perspective,it is the free and profound thinking power concentrating on the abilities of query and criticism,discovery and creation.These key abilities lead students to attain Chinese competences as a whole in the language application practice,making their selves to achieve lifelong learning,promoting and creating continuously.The main contents of Ye Shengtao's view of Chinese competences and its key elements have profound implications for modern Chinese education.On the one hand,the Chinese language teaching should be innovated continuously.First of all,the teaching objectives should be clearer that Chinese education should be based on language expression,at which aimed cultivating person,for developing the students'creative thinking.Secondly,the goal of Chinese education can be realized by deepening the teaching content including teaching innovation promotion and characteristic school-based resources exploitation.Finally,more teaching strategies can be suggested such as the cultivation of good habits and the participation of situational practice and so on.On the other hand,Chinese teachers should learn the essence of Ye Shengtao's theory of Chinese language education actively.They should regulate themselves and make a role model for students.Firstly,the teachers should improve their own literacy consciously,making their best to be an expert teacher,research teacher.Secondly,the teachers should be the typical examples in words and deeds.The instruction words should be contagious,clear and concise,making students understanding thoroughly.At the same time,the teachers should be the most typical and superior model around the students by means of regulating their own language expression!...
