Research On The Selection Mechanism Of University Counselor Based On Competency Model

University counselors are the important part of students' ideological and political education and management work,they are the backbone to promote the higher education's continuous development and improvement.The premise of the reform of higher education is to make sure the competencies which match the job of university counselors,it's the key of universities' counselor team construction.To solve the core problem,it is essential to find the methods to measure the items of competency of university counselors,which has important practical significance for promoting students' growth.In the process of this thesis's research,it is the colleges and universities that are regarded as the subject,and the university counselors who are object.In order to ensure the quality of higher education,the competition selection has been taken to select the right university counselors who match the corresponding jobs.The certain selection way,the selection criteria and the assessment model are made according to the selection procedure and the selection requirement.Which are considered as thefoundation to attract the applicants who have the potential characteristics,from whomwe can select the right ones and obsolete the not right.This thesis is completed through the several methods of the literature analysis,the questionnaire investigation and simulation with considering both the theory and the practice.The competency model of university counselor has been built and validated by analyzing the current selection situation of university counselor.The competency model of university counselor could be used to guide Chinese university counselors' team construction which has been qualified in other human resource management fields.In the end,a set of selection mechanism of university counselor based on competency model has been built.
