In 2014,the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee explicitly pointed out that the construction of a socialist country under the rule of law should be the overall goal of comprehensively advancing the rule of law,and that education for the rule of law should be incorporated into the national education system,where the socialist legal theory with Chinese characteristics should be implemented to achieve "three advances into" including the teaching materials,the classroom and the brain.In order to better incorporate the education of the rule of law into the national education system,the Ministry of Education's Joint Ministry of Justice and the National Bureau of Public Law printed and issued the “Outline for the Education of Juveniles and the Rule of Law”on July 19,2016.The "Outline" clearly requires that the rule of law education should take citizens' basic rights,compulsory education and constitutional education as the focus of the rule of law education,which covers all stages of education and forms a set of rule-based education systems that are progressive,spiraling,and structurally rational.It clearly specifies what the content of the rule of law education that college students need to be familiar with,and practically guides how to effectively incorporate the education of the rule of law into the national education system.In the new era,the effectiveness of the legal education at the higher education level and the awareness of the legal consciousness of university students are directly related to the effect of socialist legal construction.It is an urgent and arduous mission for the current ideological and political education to promote the legal education of undergraduates.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the background of the topic,the significance of the research,the research methods and the existing deficiencies.The second chapter defines the connotation of the rule of law,the legal system and the rule of law,the rule of the people,the education of the rule of law,and the moral education.It also introduces the relevant basic theoretical basis.Based on the analysis of concepts and the review of literature,it clearly highlights what the rule of law and the education of the rule of law are,and summarizes the importance of the education of the rule of law in colleges and universities.The third chapter introduces the present situation of college students' classroom legal education content,sorts out the history of the development of legal education in colleges and universities,compares and analyzes the arrangement of teaching materials before and after the "05 plan",and adopts questionnaires and individual interviews.The method to understand the status quo of contemporary law education for undergraduates in colleges and universities,and conduct relevant data analysis.The fourth chapter is based on the results of the investigation of the legal education of college students in the classroom and the related literature,this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the existing textbooks,and summarizes the problems and related causes of the contemporary university students' legal education.Based on the education of law education in colleges over the world,this paper conceives the construction of the content system of university students' legal education,and puts forward some suggestions from enriching the legal education content of colleges and universities,in order to improve the awareness of the legal consciousness and the legal capacity of college students.The last chapter is the conclusion of this article,summarizing the main points of this thesis and the places that still need to continue to work.
