Time and space,as important factors in the historical process,are the key clues for the development of history.Historical time and space are indispensable,whether teachers do history teaching or students study history.At the same time,the European and American countries take the key competencies as the focus of the curriculum reform in the world.The key competencies of history has gradually been paid attention to by Chinese historical educators.The history curriculum standard of our country takes the key competencies of history subject as the yardstick to measure the students’ study.The concept of time and space is an important part of the key competencies of history.It is not only the need of history teaching in middle school,but also the requirement of students’ thinking and personality development.According to the perspective of "Concept-Problem-Response",the paper is divided into four parts: the first part is to prepare for the thesis,that is,to explain the basis,purpose and value of the topic selection,and the research methods and innovations that I choose.The second part is the connotation of the concept of historical time and space,and the significance of the cultivation of the concept of historical time and space to the teaching of high school history.The third part is a comprehensive investigation and research on the cultivation of the concept of time and space in senior high school,including the investigation results of high school history teaching about the cultivation of high school students’ key competencies,and the reasons for this result.The fourth part is based on the analysis of the survey results,trying to put forward ways and suggestions for training high school students’ concept of historical time and space from the following aspects: knowledge and ability,process and method,emotion,attitude and values.The concept of time and space,as a part of key competencies of history subject,is a complex of historical knowledge,ability and attitude.As the rapidly change of curriculum reform in our country,how to run through achievements of the reform is still a challenge.Based on the concept of key competencies,the author understands the connotation of the concept of time and space as three levels of knowledge,ability and attitude.On this basis,a questionnaire is made,and three strategies for training are put forward.This paper makes an exploration of how to combine the three-dimensional target of the important achievements of the reform at upper stage and the core accomplishment of this reform.
