STEM education originated in the United States.After entering the twenty-first Century,the influence of STEM education has spread all over the world,and has aroused widespread concern.STEM education is a multidisciplinary education based on the integration of the four disciplines of science,technology,engineering and mathematics,which is based on the creation of situation,problem proposing,experimental design and project research.It has the characteristics of generality,diversity,practicality and interest.Based on the theory of STEM education and the analysis of the characteristics of biology,this paper explores the feasibility of integrating STEM education into high school biology teaching,which provides a practical case for the construction of the biology STEM course in high school.First,the concept and characteristics of STEM education are expounded,and the status of STEM education at home and abroad is reviewed.On this basis,the necessity and feasibility of introducing STEM into high school biology teaching are analyzed.Through the design of three specific teaching cases,the process and methods of integrating STEM education into high school biology teaching are discussed from ten aspects: setting goals,creating situations,putting forward questions,establishing subjects,designing research,research preparation,project implementation,analyzing data,writing papers,and evaluation and summary.The one or two classes of S high school in Songyuan city were selected to carry out the educational practice of STEM into the biology course,and test papers were used to test the experiment group and the control group.The results showed that the students who did STEM learning were three parties to the understanding degree of knowledge,the use of knowledge and the understanding of the practical value of knowledge than those who did not pass the STEM learning.Face,all obviously improved.The following conclusions are drawn.1.integrating STEM into biology courses will enhance students' understanding of biological knowledge.2.integrating STEM into biology curriculum has significant effect on improving students' problem-solving ability,and students' enthusiasm for participation is high.3.integrating STEM into biology curriculum is conducive to enhancing students' sense of social responsibility.In the process of implementing STEM curriculum in China's high school biology teaching,we should establish a standard STEM curriculum goal.Schools should improve the hardware configuration of teaching environment to facilitate the implementation of interdisciplinary integrated curriculum.Teachers should strengthen the training of STEM theory and practice.High school biology teaching evaluation should strengthen the examination of interdisciplinary knowledge and subjects,and promote the deep integration of STEM education and high school biology teaching.
