With the development of society and progress in science and technology,geographic image has become an indispensable part of our daily life and production.Improving the ability of interpreting drawings has become the basic requirement for the formation of geographic literacy.However,in junior middle school,there are still many problems in the students' ability of interpreting drawings.As an important tool for improving the ability of interpreting drawings,the Direction of Reading Geographic Image still has a great rising space in the design.The Direction of Reading Geographic Image is a kind of text expression that guides students to read pictures effectively.In this paper,we collated and analyzed the Direction of Reading Geographic Image in the existing textbooks,and made a questionnaire survey on the status about how the Direction of Reading Geographic Image works,to make clear the function and shortcomings in the design.The results showed that the Direction of Reading Geographic Image can play a promoting role in reading pictures.But currently,the Direction of Reading Geographic Image only plays an important role in explaining and supplementation,and does not really teach the reading method.According to the study and investigation of the Direction of Reading Geographic Image,and learning from a large number of relevant literature,the author designed the different Direction of Reading Geographic Image for six kinds of geographic images in the textbook,and then analyzes them with examples.The key to designing the Direction of Reading Map Image is to guide students to find out the rules of spatial distribution of geographical objects in images,and pay attention to the release and contraction of scale.The design of the Direction of Reading Geographic Landscape Image should be paid attention to guide the identification of the contents of the landscape,the purpose of the appearance of this map,and the geographical problems to be explained.The design of the Direction of Reading Geographic Schematic Diagram requires the dynamic and logical principles of the key guidance process and the transformation of graphics and texts.The design of the Direction of Reading Geographic Statistical Graph should focus on guiding the analysis of data and exploring the geographical rules behind them,emphasizing the orderly reading of maps.When designing a Direction of Reading Image Map,we should not only emphasize the guidance of spatial location distribution,but also guide students to analyze the trend of their dynamic change.When designing a Direction of Reading Geographic Cartoon,the students should grasp the subject firmly,analyze the contents of the images,find out the causality before and after,and finally put forward the measures or suggestions to solve the "subject" problem.
