The Study On The Professional Dilemma Of Program-based Social Work Practice Of MSW

With the transformation and development of society,the demand for social service is growing.Professional practice is an important part of the training of social workers,but it is also a weak part at present.This is mainly due to the lack of practical resources,imperfect practice mode and so on.The program-based social work practice is an effective way to integrate all kinds of resources and achieve multiple goals.But it can easily lead to professional problems in present situation.This research constructs the social work service professional analysis framework from three aspects: social work values and ethics,social service technology rationality and social service effectiveness.In this study,we choose a representative social service as a case study,and interview other students who participated in social service items that purchased by the government.Relying on this framework,we analyze the professionalism of social worker services.Through the analysis and refining of observation,interview and internship log,we got the main conclusions as follows:(1)Professional practice based on service project is an exploration of MSW internship model.It can integrate the resources of various parties and integratemulti-party goals.In the current situation of low degree of social work specialization and lack of internship resources,This model has its rationality and development prospect.(2)In the project-based social work practice,interns are prone to professional difficulties,and social service tend to lose professionalism.Specific performance is as follows: students' learning goals are placed in a secondary position,replacing the project service target with the project assessment target;wasting the project resources and violating the principle of the main interests of the client;Social service does not comply with professional procedures,and the design of activities lack of causality logic,which leads to insufficient effectiveness of service results.This above will impact the professional self-confidence and professional identity of interns,and prevent social work acceptance and identity.(3)There are many reasons for the lack of professional in project-based Practice.Such as the following : The bidding of government projects has the characteristics of internal decision-making and weak publicity.Project evaluation focuses on quantitative indicators;Project operation lacks social supervision.Interns are not self-directed into the project,they are fully compliant,incompetent,chaotic and lacking in real power.In the early stages of the organization,they are undisciplined in project operation,have high dependence on government resources,and select the project that do not match the main business.The service supervisor is inadequately invested and their supervision content is deviated,and teachers are absent in project-based practice.The realization of project service professionalism is a system project which requires the joint efforts of all parties.This paper puts forward the following Suggestions to improve service professionalism: perfect the government contracting system and enhance publicity;Change the way of service evaluation,Paying equal attention to "quality" and "quantity";Strengthen the cultivation and assessment of institutions,standardize management and promote specialization;Improve the internship system,increase the intern's autonomy,enhance the exchange of interns,and strengthen supervision.In addition,interns should play subjective initiative,anticipate difficulties and idealize;Strengthen study,professional self-change;Overall analysis,thin hair force;Some perseverance,some concessions;Seek support and breakthrough.
