Rural teachers are the most important practitioners of rural education in China.Effective rural teacher training helps to improve the overall quality of rural teachers.This study is based on the relevant literature of rural teachers' training needs at home and abroad,and on the basis of the actual situation of the needs of teacher training in rural areas of China,through the combination of questionnaire and interview methods,from the rural and village teachers to the training content(education theory,Professional knowledge,professional skills,educational research,rural perspective,training methods,trainers,training time,training location and training assessment methods in six dimensions of demand for rural teachers to investigate the needs of rural teachers,to comb out the actual needs of the current training of rural teachers.The survey results show that the demand for rural teachers to participate in training is relatively strong.Among them,the rural teachers have the highest degree of demand in the field of professional skills in the training content.The specific requirements of the professional skills dimension are teaching organization management skills,classroom teaching implementation ability and the management skills of the class teacher.Rural teachers have a strong demand for the training of left behind children and problem students with rural uniqueness,and we hope to solve these practical problems by taking part in training activities with special needs of rural teachers.On the basis of in-depth analysis of the results of the investigation,this study proposes the following suggestions: rural teacher training should take rural teachers as the main body to improve the pertinence of rural teacher training needs analysis;rural teacher training should continuously optimize the content of rural teacher training,and strengthen the actual situation of rural education and teaching.The rural teacher training should constantly innovate the training methods so as to enhance the flexibility of the training.The training of rural teachers should be optimized and adjusted to ensure the quality of the training of the rural teachers.The training of rural teachers should be made up of a scientific and rational way of training and assessment of rural teachers so as to enhance the incentive of the training of rural teachers.
