Chinese course standards advocate that students should read the whole book.Nowadays,schools across the country begun to implement the teaching activity of “reading the whole book”.The excerpts of masterwork is selected from the whole classic books by editors which is an important part of Chinese Textbooks and contains both characteristics of masterwork and masterpieces.It is of certain significance to study teaching the excerpts of masterwork from the perspective of reading the whole book.This essay/dissertation will focus on the teaching problems of masterpiece selections in middle school,and comb relevant literatures on “the excerpts of masterwork” and “reading the whole book”.Based on these speculative knowledge,Through case studies and interviews,this paper summarizes the current problems in the selection and prose teaching of the famous books,analyzes the causes of the problems,and then explores the maneuverability strategies of the teaching of the selected articles in the famous books.The first chapter comb the holistic and partial theory of Marx's Philosophy,Wang Rongsheng textbook function classification theory,reading the whole book theory,and counted The paper selected statistics masterpiece excerpt in Chinese Textbooks in middle school.The second chapter are some teaching problems of masterpiece we found after cases analysis and interviews with teachers and students,like Insufficient aim of teaching,misreading of the text lead by misconduct of the whole and the part and so on.It is mainly embodied in four aspects: class hours,teaching materials,teachers and students.The third chapter analysis the “American Literature” and found three enlightenment to The middle school teaching section selection masterpiece,which is from part to whole,emphasis on critical reading,The transboundary integration of literature and life,Critical reading at the height of literary theory.The fourth chapter is based on the contents of the above three chapters,proposed two masterpiece teaching strategy selection,handle the selection between different functional according to the teaching goal and based on student's ability to transit of comprehensible reading to critical reading.The first point is the teaching strategy designed for text features,the second point is designed for the training of critical reading ability.On the basis of theoretical research,this article puts forward the tactics of teaching the electoral essay in three famous places: first,distinguishing the different functions of the excerpts from the famous essay based on the teaching objectives;secondly,starting from the excerpts,Third,to promote education by comment,improve the evaluation strategy of reading selected articles.
