Educational drama is an educational method that achieves educational goals through the use of drama methods and theatrical elements.In the context of the new curriculum reform,the traditional primary school Chinese reading teaching model has been challenged.The use of educational drama will help improve reading classroom teaching and improve teaching effectiveness.The teaching of drama in primary schools is based on theory of multiple intelligences,constructivism,and study in doing theory.The use of education and drama not only meets the characteristics of physical and mental development of primary school students but also meets the requirements of the new curriculum standard for primary school Chinese language: the nature of the new curriculum standards for educational drama and Chinese language is consistent,education and drama contribute to the achievement of the goals of the new Chinese language curriculum standards,and educational drama meets the new language curriculum The standard advocated learning style is unified with the classroom atmosphere,education drama and the new curriculum standard of Chinese people.The commonly used methods of teaching drama in elementary schools for Chinese reading include: warm-up games,role-playing,improvisational performances,teacher entertaining,imitation,stillness,sedentary,imagination,storytelling,and expert coats.The procedures for the use of educational drama in primary school Chinese reading teaching include: pre-classroom teachers design teaching plans,and teachers in the class go from warm-up,into text,play,open discussion to carry out teaching activities,and after-class evaluation.The use of educational drama requires teachers to select appropriate texts,use different drama methods in different school segments,change old educational concepts,learn the knowledge and skills of educational drama,and handle well the guidance of teachers and student creativity.The relationship,reasonable understanding of the relationship between reading and acting,importance of the characteristics of Chinese subjects and teaching objectives,teaching evaluation to achieve whether the teaching objectives as a fundamental criterion.
