With the rise of E-Learning,a large number of data are generated by learners when they are learning in various learning management systems,how to use these data to transform data into valuable information to guide and optimize teaching and learning has become a topic of concern to many educators and learners.Therefore,the concept of learning analysis is put forward.Learning analysis is to understand and optimize the teaching by using the data of the learners and their learning situation.Learning design is a new teaching idea in the field of instructional design.It is the practice of designing effective learning experience in order to achieve the teaching objectives in specific situations.Teacher inquiry,can be seen both as a way to improve day-to-day teaching in the classroom and as professional development for teachers.Clarke and Erickson define teacher inquiry as a set of research practices by which teachers examine their practice and its effects on students' learning,in order to enhance their professional knowledge and improve their practice.Typically,these three—design,inquiry and analysis —are seen as separate areas of practice and research.In this issue,we show that the three can work together to form a virtuous circle.Within this circle,learning analysis offers a powerful set of tools for teacher inquiry,feeding back into improved learning design.Learning design provides a semantic structure for analysis,whereas teacher inquiry defines meaningful questions to analyse.Based on this,on the basis of previous studies,this paper first analyzes the relationship between learning design and teacher inquiry,and establishes the relationship between the two.Secondly,the learning analysis is used as the technical tool support in the relationship model,and the whole relationship model is built.Finally,taking the constructed model as the reference frame,an empirical research is conducted on the "multimedia technology" course based on the Moodle platform.During and after the implementation of this course,teachers use qualitative and quantitative methods to collect and analyze different types of student activity data,using the learning analysis technology to visualize the data of the students' learning results and explore the behavior characteristics of the learners.And then compared with the goal of learning design,analyze the existing problems,and constantly improve the learning design,At the same time,teachers can witness the entire research process,which provides a visual data reference for the optimization of teachers' teaching quality and the construction of learning resources,and provides an idea for future researchers.
